ABout the Author
Anastasia Gadson is a local poet and spoken word artist. She started sharing her poetry about five years ago after going through some difficult times in her life. God divinely spoke words of healing and encouragement to her during the midnight hours to help her through the storms in her life. She started writing, and birthed poetry out of her hurt and pain. Now she is passionate about sharing these inspirational words to help heal and encourage others during their hard times and challenges.
Her storm has passed; God has restored all that she lost. Now she’s enjoying being married to her soul mate, Bernard Gadson, Sr., a true man of God who encourages her to speak her truth.
Anastasia was raised in Paterson, NJ, and has resided in Northern Virginia for over twenty-eight years. She’s a proud mother of one adult daughter.
As an entrepreneur for the past twenty years, she has managed “Speak Peace Entertainment,” an event-planning business and is also an accomplished interior designer. Anastasia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is a Certified Government Meeting Planner. She currently works full-time in the Federal Government.
Anastasia has always been creative and is excited to share her artistic gifts through poetry and spoken word.
